Clutch Spring Compression Tool

1. Refer to your service manual for removal of primary cover.
2. Loosen jam nut and remove adjusting screw and adjuster nut.
3. Hold cup side of tool up against clutch diaphragm.
4. Slip bolt through hole in top of tool with nut almost to the end of
the hex head, with washer in front of the nut.
NOTE: Please apply oil to threads and washer.
5. Thread bolt into hole in the release plate at least five (5)
complete turns.
6. While holding bolt from turning, turn nut with washer against
tool. Compress the diaphragm spring inward enough to remove
retaining ring.
7. Remove retaining ring and slowly remove tool.
8. Clutch can now be removed.

FOR SPORTSTER 1991-Present & Buell
1. Remove o-ring from adapter tool.
2. Install adapter tool with washer through hole in the top of clutch
compressor.
3. Install o-ring on the under side of the clutch spring compressor.
4. Using the stock clutch adjuster screw, hold tool against clutch
diaphragm.
5. Thread adapter onto clutch adjuster screw.
6. Hold adjuster screw with a flat blade screw driver and turn nut
until retaining ring can be removed.
7. Clutch can now be removed.

Tool comes assembled set up for Sportster 1991-Present & Buell with
fitting an o-ring already attached to tool. For Big Twin, remove o-ring
and use long bolt along with other hardware.
